Clip to hold cargo cover shelf - Golf GTI

Hi Guys,

Quite curious to know if anyone has the same experience where they have the little dot plastic to hold the cargo boot shelf broken? not quite sure how it got broken but it did and curious to know if it's covered under warranty?it happen during a 40 degree hot day, not quite sure if it's relevant.

Are you are referring to one of the plastic lugs that lift up the shelf when the hatch is opened?

I had the drivers side lug snap off a few months after I got my car. The cord must have got caught on a suitcase and when I opened the hatch, I heard the lovely sound of plastic breaking. The lugs appear to be quite fragile and I think the top part of the window trim would have to be replaced. I haven't bothered to get it fixed or ask if it's under warranty, I hardly use the hatch.
It would be nice to know if it is covered though.
