Where do u get the purple metal polish from?
There's a couple of places after a quick google but I buy mine from the first link.

Thought I should update ... bought said polish and it works brilliantly. Don't know if my exhaust is particularly smoky but the tips get smoky / sooty after a few weeks or around 100kms. The tip edges are hardest to get clean.
I just use the finest steel wool from bunnings done in seconds , always used it in resto days with any chrome .
Do you apply any kind of protection after cleaning that will keep the soot off longer?
I don't but it sounds like a darn good idea. What's out there?
Well the tips are annoyingly sooty after just a week of normal driving around the suburbs and along highways; mostly in a high gear. Has anyone considered painting their tips a matt black colour alternatively, should I get VW to check it out?
