Agree 45K miught not be much but the 3 years I had the Pirelli with 90K including track work, daily commutes on the M1 and cruises gave the DSG a thorough working over. Even tuned the DSG for the last 15K of that time to give it more stress and hard work. I don't think they got the 7-speed right but the 6-speed wet DSG worked a treat for me in all conditions.

I guess it's like anything, you get a lemon amongst lots of success stories but unfortunately you don't have people starting forum threads title "my dsg is awesome and never fails"...
