Clutch bleed on a system thats been ok till an issue, air in system if its had work done yes, months later not . Disagree im afraid. Problem hot or cold or anytime? Pressure problem perhaps air likely not unless fluid was rank and I think not on that too. Seen pressure plate issues, and even an improperly torqued up pressure plate coming loose, clamping force changes

Booked in to VW week after next. I did notice it getting stuck sometimes in gear after I had the new clutch put in. The only reason I know of the stumbling when the clutch is in is because it made the intake manifold rattle like crazy. I'll keep you all informed.

Just a thought did it get dual mass flywheel or a lightened flywheel at clutch time??

No just a stock clutch kit from Imparts in Brisbane. Nothing else was done.

Went to VW today. On the way down it kept on getting stuck in 1st gear when I was in traffic. Explained my issues about getting stuck in gear when stopped and the low rpm stumble when the clutch is pushed in. They had no answer for the stumble and if I can live with it then don't worry about it, and getting stuck in gear when stopped is most likely a pressure plate problem. Just for good measure they bled the system to see if this helps, it never got stuck in gear on the way home but sometimes I can go days without it happening so I'll let you know if it happens. They didn't seem bothered the clutch wasn't genuine VW and say parts from Imparts are generally good and I may just have been unlucky. I've still got 2 months warranty left on it so I think as soon as it gets stuck in gear again new clutch it is....

    Thanks for the update Reedy.

As Sloth mentioned in the previous page he gets the same "stumble" but no when he's using 0w40. So next oil change i'm going to switch to 0w40 oil and see how that goes and i'll let you know.

At what temperature do you notice that the "stumble" disappears? For me once the oil temp reaches 75 degrees (C) the low rpm jerk is gone.

Seems as though there is 2 threads going here, my apologies. Please let me know how you go with the oil change. Mine seems to run better at when oil temp reaches around 60-70. I've just changed pre cat O2 sensor, camshaft position sensor and intake temp sensor and it seems to be better but not 100% better. The other low rpm stumble I have is caused by pressing the clutch and holding the rpm's at around 1200, this happens all the time along with getting stuck in 1st gear when I come to a stop.

Still no good. Any change with different oil?
Now I'm having clutch problems, sometimes it will get stuck in gear when I come to a stop and my bite point is right at the bottom, fitted new master cylinder but still no better. Think I will just put up with it. Did you see my video that shows the spluttering when the clutch is pushed in, so it may all be related. How's yours going?
