    Brakes squealing

Hey guys got my rear brake pads changed last week (pads bought from GSL rally) on my GTI just last week and the squealing noise does not go away. The noise was appearing before the pads got changed but I thought it's coz they got worn down.
    What could be the problem??

P.S. it's driving me up the wall coz the noise is not a faint one either....

Did you get the rotors machined? You really need to...

Then do the brake bed in procedure...

Should always machine your disks when changing pads. If the mechanics didn't advice you to do it then they are useless.

Discs should be machined or replaced 95% of the time. You might get away with it if you are using a really soft pad. Generally you won't though.

All the brake dust, dirt & corrosion cleaned away, especially on sliding or mating surfaces

    Slider pins should be lubricated.

Copper grease or similar applied sparingly to the surfaces where the pad touches the caliper or the brake piston

clean & lubricate sparingly any shims or springs. Don't leave any parts on the bench.

    bed-in pads to disc surface
