My Mk6 has a quirk as follows: When taking off from a standing start, if the brake pedal is feathered just as the accelerator pedal is engaged, then because the brake is still on, the accelerator does not respond and it feels like the car is in neutral (albeit it is still in Drive). Spoke to an experienced Indy today and he said this is quite common and can easily be fixed by a "fly by wire"software upgrade and he pointed me in the right direction to a transmission specialist in Paramatta (quite far from where I live on the Northshore so inconvenient).
I rang the stealership and they predictably said they had never heard of such a phenomenan but they would be happy to "diagnose" the problem at a cost of $320.
Would appreciate feedback from anyone who has experienced this and what they did to fix it- hopefully its a simple (and cheap) software upgrade.
you can always get custom tune or something from the branded tunes, should be around $1,000 and up and up...
it is for left foot braking use
can be useful on track. not sure on public roads.. in my case my left foot is not trained to do so. my right foot is not BIG enough to step on both pedals.
