    Bottle Opener?

DOES the Golf still come with this as standard? . My dealer told me when I collected my car that only the GTI gets it now, but I have since read all Golf's do. I went to buy one from the dealer - $75! Yikes.

Guidance appreciated. I'll hit them up for one if it is indeed a std feature.

Now I called my dealer because it wasn't in the car, and they had put it in the pocket of the manual booklet so that it wouldn't go missing before delivery. Have you checked there?

I'm pretty sure at least all Golf's get them.

Perhaps go into the dealership and look at the showroom cars... if they have it then you've struck gold!

For those that have the bottle opener - doesn't it also act as a separator between the 2 cup holders?

If you don't have a bottle opener then you don't have cup holders. You're left with a storage compartment instead. Cup holders are definitely a standard feature in all golfs. Therefore you should get the bottle opener.

If they told you only the GTI gets it then they have clearly mislead you. The vehicles would all be supplied with the bottle openers, if they haven't given it to you then that would be quite a serious breach of confidence. You should lodge a formal complaint with head office because I can't see how they can make a mistake like that.

My car (gti) didn't include the bottle opener but I only found out 6 months later. Called them up and they confirmed it should have came with one however since I reported it so late they told me I had to buy one for about $70. Person on the phone was very rude to me too.
I wasn't very happy and since they've already put my wheels on my car onto the wrong sides(but then blamed it on ian diffens), decided to just ditch them and went and bought a geniune VW bottle opener online for $20. Even if it is just a replica, it still looks geniune.

They forgot to include it for me as well in the delivery. They did provide one though 6 months down the track when I had some warranty work done.
