Hi All, I've had my mk6 gti for a couple of months now and run into a small issue..

Previously, the light in the boot would come on when you open the hatch. But it was only recently that I noticed it is no longer working . Prior to noticing, I had a really nice forum member help me to change the region on my RNS510 as well as add a few small things like cornering lamps and emergency lights.

So, since I noticed, this is what I've done.

- Taken out the bulb and tested in another car (worked fine).
- Taken a multi meter and tested the wiring to the light fitting while the hatch was open. 12v.
- Sat inside and closed the hatch and did the same. This dropped to 0v.
- I just bought a new diode and changed that out....no difference.
- Straight after, I decided to do a swap with the footwell lights to make sure the fitting from the boot was working. ... it was. In hindsight, I should have just done that first. lol!
- I then plugged in the footwell light into the boot light wire and this didn't work either.

I'm stumped and have no idea what could be causing it not to work. Has anyone had similar issues?

Google leads me to some other people stating their latch was faulty, but I'm not sure this is the case with mine because it realises when the boot is open / closed. This is shown on the MFD and also demonstrated by the voltage drop when closing the hatch.

Any ideas? Is it possible something was changed in VCDS by accident? It's difficult for me to pin point as I only noticed it about a month later.

Thanks in advance for any advice.
