But what is blue/white with black lettering didn't suit the colour of your car!?
Anyway, yeah, they're similar dimensions - 520 x 110mm
That would be a good reason to get that style then .Originally Posted by coreying
Hi mate do you know what the dimensions are of that plate? I'm getting some full size QLD classic Euro which are ~520 x 112mm.

Yeh it seems a bit short-sighted, for sure
I must say, right now I'm feeling pretty happy about my colour choice
Also, I'd always planned to get those white Euro plates anyway
It's personal preference but the only other NSW plates I like at all are the slim line white premium plates
I'm not a big fan of the black ones... although I agree they would blend in more on a black car than the white ones (which would stand out like a sore thumb)

It's a bit OT, but a pet peeve of mine is non-European cars wearing Euro plates.
Who do they think they're fooling by putting Euro plates on a Hyundai ?

lol yeah, I'm with you there Karlosovic
Agree, that is the first priority but reckon it would look good on nearly all colours and is very euro.
Cheers, will see how they look with the VW holder however if it stays I wont be putting a perspex cover on, whereas i may do if i mount it directly on the bumper. could look clean with no protectors.Anyway, yeah, they're similar dimensions - 520 x 110mm
Looking at this picture, maybe the reason tehy put the stupid holder on the car is because without the holder, there isn't enough vertical bumper section to mate the plate to. What is the vertical measurement of the bumper in that section?
Regular slim plates would be fine though.
Got my lakin plates yesterday and have installed them onto my car looks great.
Will post some pictures soon.

That's true it doesn't leave much vertical mounting area which is why i ended up leaving it on. My plate is similar to that one and fits neatly inside the holder.Originally Posted by coreying
Got my rego papers yesterday... it lists the normal white NSW premium plates on it instead of the Euro plates
When I was placing my order I asked them to throw in Euro plates - he said they did that standard - I said great
Now it turns out he must have meant the normal white plates.
The only way I can get this changed before i take delivery is if i cancel all the paperwork (loan, insurance etc), they change the plates, then issue-sign-post all new paperwork - which will not get done by Friday
Douche bags
I've waited long enough so I'm just going to take delivery on friday as-is. I guess I'll decide then how stupid it's going to look with a tiny plate on a massive black plate-holder.... or if like Corey suggested, I'll see if I can remove the plate holder
