No driver needed....just push the middle section of the four plugs 'in' and the plugs can be removed with decent fingernails.

No harm to paint....mine being a CSG, plugs blend in.

I've got perspex custom made plates, they look exactly like the QLD transport ones, reflective letters and all, but the decals are applies to the back of the perspex and then sprayed (black in my case). They fix to the car with strong adhesive tape. Looks great!

    Aren't imitation plates illegal?

Technically, yes. But they look almost identical to the ones issued by PPQ, it would take an extraordinarily observant officer to notice it. There are a fair few cars getting around QLD with perspex plates, some even have decal-type replica plates that just stick on the front bumper, and recently PPQ bought out a "flexi-plate" which is a plexi-glass/perspex plate.

I'm getting my car opti-coated as I type this and requested my front dealer-fitted bumper holder to be taken off. I've also spoken to Philip from Lakin about his plate holders and I'm ordering a set from him this week. The plan is to spray paint the front and back holders to my car's colour (Platinum Grey Metallic).

Will post pics when it's all done!

Colour coding the lakin plate holders is a good idea as it will blend in well to the bumper. Look forward to seeing pics when it's done.

    Did the Europlate delete yesterday.

Replaced the area with Carbon Fibre look vinyl.

Number plate now double sided taped on
