Golf Mark 6 LED Headlights (not the R version) spotted in Sydney

Saw a Golf 6 GTI on Sunday with the new Mark 6 LED-xenon headlights on Carlingford Road heading east. Looks like the ones on the Golf 35 year anniversary.

It was travelling in the opposite direction to me. So when I checked the rear view mirror I saw that it had the R-style OEM LED tails as well (though cherry red, not smoked).

Looked really good! I double checked the exhaust and confirmed it was a GTI with one exhaust either side of the rear bumper. The other observation confirming it was a GTI were the standard GTI foglights on the front.

Anyone installed them yet? I noticed they're for sale on this website, but not sure if there are any other sites selling for cheaper. Also not sure if installation controller issues similar to the LED Tails for early mk6 cars like mine. Anyone know?

I didn't think much of the new xenon-LED headlights until I saw these in the flesh... and they look truly smart !!! I want!

Was it white or red? It could have been an addidas GTi, i've seen a few of those driving around melbourne already

This would have been an Adidas. They come with the above mentioned headlights and non smoked R style led tails.

arent the Adidas rear LED's exact same as the R's - i.e. tinted/smoked (dark cherry red). i was in one a few weeks back and they looked the same to me.

and the car the OP saw could have been a GTI (not necesarrily an Adidas) as ive seen a couple around Melbourne with the new LED strip integrated into the Xenons with the standard rear tails.

As I said in my post, these are now standing for any Xenon optioned MK6 GTI built from ~week 45 last year. We've had members photos of their cars with this for months...

nah they are smoked/dark.



and as Corey said if you option the bi-xenons now, DRL's are included.
