It's a NO.
Only the internal mirror is auto dimming.
Does my 118TSI have them?
Reason I ask is the internal rear view mirror works beautifully. Turns a distinctive green tint and dims when cars are behind. However the side mirrors do not change colour. On the other hand the side mirrors do not dazzle the eye either. If they are dimming - Why arent they turning green too?
So I am not sure if this lack of dazzle from the sides is because the auto dimming is occurring or just the static Aspherical nature of the mirror. Read somewhere that the sides (if fitted) are slaved to the internal which makes sense because it has the sensors on it. I see Gentex make them and when sides are fitted "The interior mirror's sensors and electronics control the dimming of both interior and exterior mirrors."
So is it YES or NO wrt auto dimming sides?

OK thanks. That explains it. Probably a good thing as I read somewhere that replacement glass alone for auto dimming sides are a few hundred dollars. Existing ones work fine so all is good.

And speaking of side mirrors, anybody else get the impression that the degree each side mirror is convex is different? I personally would prefer my driver's side mirror to be completely flat, but I think it that even the inner portion of it is convex.
The drivers mirror is definitely different to the passenger. The passenger's doesn't have the 'curved' section to the outside. I'd say there would also be a slight difference in the convex properties of each mirror due to the viewing distance and trying to compensate for that to give the same reflection characteristics (if that makes sense).
