If anyone in melb is up for it, im happy to program the Rain Closing and this time document what is done for everyone else's benefit as it seems to be harder to do than i suspected.

The key is that its not just a check box - you need to manually add a 7 (i think) to one of the bits.
I think I'm down for auto rain closing of the sunroof, can you also enable to cornering fog light too steve? Thanks in advance!

Doh! thanks, steve_tdi. I should find a way to get a copy of Golf manual so I can "master" Golf features before it arrives in mid May :p

OK, I have just confirmed on 2 cars Mine and MKVIGTI's that this works.

Volkswagen Golf Auto Rain Closing Windows and Sunroof | my-gti.com

This process does work, with some exceptions.
Step 1 just for reference both the cars i have done the original code was 0330AD changed to 0730AD.
There are no tick boxes or prompts.

Step 2 is no longer in Comfort System Controller (46) but is now in Central Electronics under the BCM (top) drop down
you need to go into long coding helper. From here go to Byte 4 and change bits 5 & 6 which are Comfort Closing to active.

In the same menu is also Fog Light cornering and Rear wiper teardrop.

    Hope this helps.....

PS, Fog Light cornering worked also with the Xenons.

Thanks steve works perfectly with just a light mist of water. I previously hadn't altered the coding to 07 as the hex-decimal conversion wouldn't work.

No hassles guys, glad to be of assistance.

Just a quck disclaimer though for anyone reading this - both the cars i have done recently the original code was 0330AD changed to 0730AD. my GT was also similar, but i have no documentation on what it was.

In theory from the others i have done in australia the first bit is always 03 and changing it to 07 "should" work.

Always make sure to take a note of the old value just in case.

It would be good to know that changing stuff like this didn't affect anything else.. Maybe a confirmation from Ross-tech??
