Someone mentioned this to me this morning and didn't know if they were pulling my leg or not. Apparently there's a Golf wagon with a turbo'd R36 motor at CP performance in Artarmon. I know that a Turbo R32 and a Scirocco R have spent some time there and lately there's been a white Golf R there too so obviously they have some experience with modified VWs. Anyone have more information on whether I'm being told fibs or not?

Well don't keep it to yourself mate! Share![]()
i always thought a gti engine conversion would be a great project for one of those wagons, but a turbo'd r36 motor, well, thats just pure shenanigans

Must be this one. It was parked outside CP a few weeks ago.
I wonder whether it's still FWD, or whether they've done a RWD or AWD conversion?
You'd have to make sure the dog is tied on well in the boot before you head off.

Hope its not that car in the pic, still has the standard brakes!
As amusing as it might be, you have to ask why? The wagon is fugly from the back half and its a fair bit of coin for the job.
Presumably the same reason why a dog licks it's.....
That, and you need more storage than a hatch provides, but don't want to give up performance![]()
