    77TDI wouldn't move

    Hi guys.

My wife has an 09 77TDI DSG.

Had the mechatronic recall done late last year.

Yesterday it did something a bit strange, and wondering if anyone else has had this happen.

Driving home from work, stopped at a set of lights. Lights go green, but car ain't going nowhere. Sounded like it was about to stall (which it can't obviously), wouldn't rev. Just would not move. After a few seconds of wtf it decided to move on its merry way. Fine since then.

Obviously this is a bit concerning. Did a search but couldn't find anything similar to what happened yesterday.

I'm not sure that's a DSG issue if it doesn't rev and sounds like it's about to stall. Might be worth scanning the car with VCDS to see if there are any faults logged. Similar issues have been described by owners of the 90TSI that had a problem with stalling, but that's obviously a different motor and was fixed with an ECU update. Might be worth reading through that thread anyway:

    Golf 90TSI DSG stalling

Maybe a bad batch of fuel, or some other diesel issue?
