3rd mechatronic in 12 months

So here’s the update. Got it back from the shop today, Have been told they’ve changed the TCM as it was the cause of all the latest faults. Apparently also found a small piece of metal that was supposedly causing a gear position sensor issue. So I’m told that it’s now all ok but to keep an eye on it. Hopefully that’s it but time will tell.

The TCM = Transmission Contol Module which is the Mechatronics. It's the electronic brain that controls the transmission.

So thats your 4th Mechatronic now. Lets hope you got a good one this time.

Hmm I was led to believe they are 2 separate components. I’m hoping this is the end of the saga, my dad wants we to get rid of it even though it just cost more that $2500 to repair it.
