Has anyone had their 30,000km service done recently in Perth?

Rang up 4 dealerships: Myaree, John Hughes, Osborne Park and Wangara. Prices are all over the place, however all 4 dealerships are quoting the same 5 components that will be taken care of: pollen filter, brake fluid, oil filter, sump plugs and oil change.

Can someone share their recent experiences?

I was asking about recent experience from people who did their service at Melville, John Hughes, Wangara or Osborne Park.
Melville's price is about $150 less than Wangara and JH, but how does their service compare to JH or OP?

Never used the dealerships but I have rung Melville and JH and found JH very helpful. Melville didn't even bother to return my calls - 3 times.

Two months ago - Euro Elite around the $300 mark from memory (everything you mention minus the pollen filter as that was done prior)... $200 cheaper than Wangara VW even with a massive % off from them as a 'VIP' customer

The only thing I'm concerned is not doing car service at the dealership.
Will it void VW warranty? The only reason I wanted to do all my services at the dealership is to keep the books in order in case if I need to resell the car I would have some proof of "legal" service. Not sure if value will go down if I don't service the car by VW dealership - this kind of giving sense of comprehensive service and piece of mind, doesn't it?

i believe any independent mechanic with MTA approval by law can service your car without loosing the warranty, as long as the log book requirements are complied; ie: correct vw502.00 or vw504.00 oil, meet min intervals, etc etc...

As above... Won't void your warranty. I had previously had every service (including interval services) at the dealership.... For what they actually do the cost is over the top but I will say service was great and I always got a free loan car etc. I changed over to euro elite after reading a bit about them on here.
If cost isn't a consideration and you want VW stamps through out ur log book then stick with the dealerships.... But for me $650 (including "VIP" discount) vs $300 made it a no brainer to have my service else where last time.

    Thanks for replies.
I've been thinking about doing service at the dealership while 3 year warranty is on and then may consider other mechanics.

The question is: Melville is offering service for $494 while John Hughes charges $602 for the same five components that are on the list.
Does Melville's service department cuts corners and does lesser quality job or John Hughes simply overcharges for the same quality and service?

    Thanks

It's a log book service, I would assume they all do it by the book (even the independents do it by the book). Think they charge what they think they can get away with, it's not especially regulated.

Someone on here may have insider info though.......
