Hey all,
Seeking up to date info on getting someone in Sydney to tune my 2011 GTD.
I have done hours of reading but still putting this out there...
To the best of my knowledge BWA Auto have done a 'Stage 1 APS' tune on my car a year or 2 ago.
It was not put on the dyno so its just a one size fits all mapping.
I found the following on the Pulse Racing website - "That's why at Pulse Racing we will only do custom dyno tunes; will never do what we call 'flash and dash' tuning or worse yet, mail order tuning. Every car goes on the dyno.We see cars come in almost daily that have 'supposedly' been tuned, yet are still well and truly detuned"
So I guess I am hoping to find someone that will dyno tune my GTD for a reasonable price and ideally notice the results.
I don't like the thought of dropping $1600 to gain an extra 1% power.
I am guessing it is safe to assume the DSG has not been touched at all yet.
Can I get a few peoples thoughts on this please?
Thanks all,
Doug.
I'd suggest spending $100 or so getting a dyno run on your car first. That should get you enough info to figure out what more could be possible.
Looks like a decent tune should get you about 152 kW and 420 Nm at the engine without removing the DPF.
