    I have an mk5 GTI and that's been a good car. I am looking for a stock wagon or a Tiguan for the wife. the budget is around 10 to 12

    Does the golf 90 tsi 2015 suffer the same issues?

    The 118TSI had 2 major flaws, alas 1 of those flaws exist in the 90TSI (the 7spd DSG) ... either buy a manual or a different MK6 with the 6spd DSG.

    Look for an auto diesel Tiguan Mk1.

    I agree completely. They are a great looking car, but for the love of whoever you hold holy stay away from the 7 speed and the twinchargers.

    Are they really that bad? Looking for first car for my daughter and the golfs are the same price as the same year Polo with the 1.2 turbo.

    There are two types of twincharger engines, those that have failed and those that are going to fail.
