15000km service - Canberra experiences (and prices)

Hey I've done a search but they really didn't answer the question of recent experiences .

My 15000km service on my GTD is due in about 300-400km and tossing up of where to get it serviced. Anyone had their MK6 serviced in Canberra and willing to share their experiences and price?

I'm limited to where I can get it serviced as the Finance company is a little strict. I bought it from Gerald Slaven but when I took it in there for a warranty issue I got mucked around for a few weeks. That being said Lennock's sales department left me with a bad taste. I have thought about taking it to Canberra VW centre but could be hard with the lease.

Gerald Slaven quoted me at $350 and $380 (I rang twice as I had a question)
Lennock quoted at $410 and $440

    Thanks Guys

I can only praise Slaven's for them sorting a warranty issue with the turbo on our GTI's.

Cost of the 15k kms service was for me, $162 plus parts/fluids. If you supply you own oil, cheaper than what dealers supply, will keep the invoice low. Slavens can do better than $310.....

Been reading on the RiotACT today how much worthy praise there is for CVWC in both Belconnen and Tuggeranong.

    Hope this helps....

My experiences are similar to Mi16 Man's, with Gerald Slaven doing a quick and cheap service on the car, no complaints.

That was for 15,000kms though - I'm not sure about the 150,000km service you're after, or what it involves.

If you read the RiotAct or ask around town (in my case at a few other mechanics my family visits), everyone says good things about the VW Guy in Belconnen. My lease company (NLC) is fine with him, but I haven't used him yet, so mileage may vary.

i usually take mine to Canberra VW in Belco. Peter and Deane very good and know their stuff.... sometimes if I feel something isn't right with the car, I just drive in... they'll usually winch it up and check it out without even charging. Good service.

A bit left field, Dyno Tune (now in Mitchell apparently) are a registered Bosch agent. They might be able to meet requirements of your lease company? I've only used them for the Mk1 when they were still in Braddon and not sure what they're like with fancy modern cars.

I don't know about lease company requirements, but Pete, Dean and Gareth out at CVWC in Belconnen are beyond fantastic. They service all my VWs (as well as doing all the mods on the Polo) and you can't beat them for product knowledge, service or price.
