Unfortunately the fuel belch is still there (running theory is clutch not engaging properly on those occasions)
Funny you should mention that...I was driving the other day thinking that I can't hear the ping anymore.....thought I would wait to check a bit more before posting but it is not there....I do have the radio on most of the time but I when checking over the past few days it is gone!! Let's hope it's permanent....

Mine didn't go away. Developed at 1600kms, at 5500 i got sick of it and got the water pump replaced. Good as new! 1000kms on and no problems really hated having a brand new car which sounded like it needed to be oiled...

    Pump problem

Just want to see if anyone who has had their waterpump replaced is still getting the squeak after the replacement.

I'd love to post in your poll however their isn't a simple yes option there, because it's not driving me nuts.... I love it, adds character.

Mine never squeeked with the first water pump, around 10,000k's. The second one almost did it from the start, mine was replaced for a different reason.

Hey Stoney, I'm questioning if the quality issues being addressed and fixed. I have a problem accepting the idea of handing over a large chunk of money for something that may or may not have a fault. I've seen on some overseas forums where the revised water pump has been installed with mixed results. Once the dealership has my money, that's it, i won't be getting it back of them (warranty aside).

Mine chirps occasionally when the supercharger engages - mainly when colder. It's not obtrusive or unpleasent when it happens.
