How do I post VCDS Output in a Forum Post

Hi All,

I would like to get some advice on fixing a coding error in my Mk6 GTI and think it would be useful to attach VCDS output. I've looked through the FAQs to see how best to do this but can't find the recommended way to do so.

Advice on how best to do this would be appreciated.

Cut and paste the script from notepad on the laptop is how I would do it.

Thanks for the response h100vw. I was wondering if there was a way to get around the post character limits but still be able to post the entire VCDS output.

Tried the embed as Code and as html but neither of these seemed embed the pasted text in a code box as happens on some other forums. Is there a different technique that you like to use here?

Just cut the part for the unit with the bad coding.

I was going to suggest the code tags, but I haven't tried really long form text in a while....

From the test below, you do get 10,000 characters, so maybe split it into two if needed? My last log (that I can find) is only 8,697 so would fit, and even something twice as long should be easy to split to two posts.
