Time for a proper update.
The MK2 has had a bit of work done in recent months, most noticably, this,
Complete MK3 belt system swap with MK3 AC, Alternator and a power steering conversion.
MK3 (256mm) brakes/calipers, and a few odd's and ends here/there too.
All done at Camden GTI.
USRT shift linkage kit. (cheers foff!)
And once I figure out what tyres to go for.....

80 series - The MK2's BIG, Sooty, polar opposite...
HAHAHA
Assuming they're 8" 195/45 gets my vote!
Was the MK3 ancillary's worth it?

Awesome wheels mate! Where did you order them from? Been thinking about getting a set for my mk2 down the line.
Either way, can't wait to see them mounted!
1990 Mk2 GTI 20vt - @mk2.20vt
They're 15x8 (a little wider than I realized), 195/45 or 195/50 are what I'll be aiming for.
Probably the 50's cause I'm boring and it wont be doing 4000rpm at 110.
Yes, no, maybe, depends what you want out of the car.
I use the MK2 as a reliable daily that lives in a car park, that and I hated the squeaky/squealy/slippy v-belt set-up.
I got em off ebay, brand new, posted from USA to here in 4 days!
Enkei make a really nice looking/built/well priced rim, definitely worth it.

Wooooo, you sent it all the way down to Sydney for the job, you had a great deal from Matt I suppose
This is probably the best 'daily' Mk2. Everybody chase for 2 doors 16V, 4 doors 8V can be outstanding, of course mine is not LOL.
What do you do with your Mk2 AC compressor now ?
Edit : Ooops, just realised your location has been changed, you moved to Wagga Wagga ???
