Campaign 23H9 - 103kW/125kw TDI PD Piezo Siemens Injector Failure

I just called Burwin Volkswagen and quoted my VIN ('08 Passat 125kw) and there is a recall/campaign for my car and I assume any other car with the 125kw PD engine...It's Campaign 23H9

They said that basically you take it in, they check to see if it has the revised version of the injectors, if not they replace the injectors. Therefore, I would probably advise everyone to call your dealer, quote your VIN and see if you have a recall on your car.

It's official now, I've never had a problem *fingers crosses* but I guess I'm definitely not now. Mine's all booked in on Thursday at Barloworld on Nepean Hwy.

Just thought I would let you all know, so you're not driving potential doorstops around.

    Love,
    James

If its due campaign 23H9, when it goes in they will remove the rocker cover to find the injector part numbers, depending on the part number depends on if they are replaced and how many.........VDUB.......

Well I went to VW Penrith today and made arrangements for the Injectors to be replaced including the Loom ,
I asked if the whole lot will be replaced and was told there will be a complete new set installed in the car, as my car showed it had the faulty injectors, even though Ive never had a problem I'd be stupid not to take up the offer .instated date is the 16/may.

This has been in place "on the quiet" for a while, but it is nice to read dealers are openly talking about it now - and not before time VW.

Anyone with a MKV 125kw diesel should contact their dealer. I am yet to be convinced there is a similar program for the 103kw, as it's far better Bosch based system just shuts down one injector typically, compared to the Siemens based 125kw shutting down the lot.

To my knowledge the revised injectors simply have double o-ring seals on the piezo stack, as opposed to the standard one. It always comes down to oil ingress!

already had mine changed as the vehicle (2008 Golf GT Sport TDI) died on the way to the airport in March 2012. The day before I picked up the Mk6 R! I think the car knew

Cheers for that, got in touch with Vw Australia and my car is eligible as well. Now who to go to is the question.
