This is why Rocket, you should save your money and not tick the dynaudio option! or any relevant new car audio upgrade option.

    Cheers,

    10 x lol!!!

So Gead, how's it as a daily driver? Any drone issues? Or too loud and boomy like 111 said?

It sounds great from this end!

    Cheers,

    Jayse.

i have had it on now for about three weeks....when we first put it on, i thought i had wasted my money...the drone was seriously painful....the sort of drone that knocks you off balance. We went back and put it back on the ramps to have a look. I don't know what we did, but in the process of pulling and pushing the exhaust (the tips weren't lining up exactly with the cutouts in the rear bar), the drone was gone...now it sounded loud and purposeful....

I can only imagine that what 111 heard was the weird painful drone...i was ready to take it off after the first 30 seconds....

At low revs, just off idle, it sounds awesome...so much presence...its very deep, and as you wind it out, very loud....my mate and i took separate drives to try and get a sense of what it sounded like outside the car, and my god, it sounds great....i will try and get some drive by video of it.

As a daily, well, it really comes down to what you are prepared to live with. It is now a loud car. The wife noticed pretty much straight away, but hasn't told me to take it off...the kids still fall asleep, and when i crank the stereo i can still drown it out.... all in all, i am a happy camper.

Honestly guys, we need to organize a VW r36 meet in Melbourne. I tried once but failed as there weren't any confirmed numbers. We can all meet up and listen to how the Evolve exhaust or Arqray exhausts sound like compared to stock.
