    '76 Mk1 Golf 2.0 16V 3-Door - Finished Project!

Some of you may know this car already from my build thread, others may have seen it at the Watercooled Annual BBQ yesterday. It has been a labour of love for the last few months, but now that it's done I need to find a new project!

What you are getting is a completely sorted Mk1, finished and running, ready to be loved and driven! By far one of the most fun cars I have ever owned, and I know one of the cars I will miss the most. Sadly I can't afford to keep it and buy a new car, and with only one garage space I wouldn't want to park it outside anyway!

Here's one photo, I will take some more this week and add them ASAP!

Here's the run down of what you'll get.

    - 1976 Mk1 VW Golf LS 3-Door
    - 2.0L 16V Twin Cam Motor (KR Head, Audi 3A Block)
    - Bosch K-Jetronic
    - Mercedes Benz Fuel Distributor
    - Brand New Bosch Injectors
    - Late Model Electrics
    - Brand New Heater Core
    - Golf Diesel Fuel Tank
    - Pierburg External Fuel Pump
    - Reconditioned Head
    - .5mm Oversize Pistons
    - Block Decked
    - New Warm Up/Control Pressure Regulator
    - New Auxillary Air Slide
    - Polyurethane Rear Engine Mount
    - Rebuilt 6Y 020 Five-Speed Gearbox (4.25 Final Drive)
    - New HD Battery (550CCA)
    - Braith Oil Catch Can
    - Mk1 GTI External Oil Cooler
    - Reconditioned Drive Shafts
    - Techtonics Tuning Short Shifter
    - Five-Speed Gear Linkages
    - New Steering Rack Boots
    - New Tie Rods & Ends
    - Reconditioned Starter Motor
    - 4-2-1 Headers
    - Custom 2" Exhaust (Northmead Performance Exhaust)
    - 90A Alternator
    - Reconditioned Brake Booster
    - New Master Cylinder
    - GTI Front Brakes
    - Mk3 Rear Disc Brake Conversion
    - Slotted Front Rotors
    - JOM Coilovers
    - Front LCA Brace
    - 15x7+25 Exip Wheels (West German circa 1985)
    - Kumho KH11 175/55/15 Tyres (90%+)
    - NOS Taillights
    - GTI Arch Flares
    - Rolled Guards
    - New Door Seals
    - New Window Rubbers
    - New Roof Lining
    - New Carpet
    - Mk2 Dashboard & Cluster
    - SickSpeed Gear Knob
    - Boss Kit & Adapter
    - Late Model Parcel Shelf & Supports (+ Speakers)
    - Fiamm Dual Horn
    - Pioneer Headunit
    - OEM 'Golf' Boot Mat
    - MAC Audio Front Speakers

The fuel system was recently modified and tuned by Peter Bower (Bosch expert) and it's unbelievably good. Occasionally takes a couple of cranks to get going, but once started it cannot be faulted.

Before the engine conversion we cut out some small sections of rust in the passenger footwell and under the passenger seat. That was all repaired and then the roof, front quarters and driver's door were resprayed, everything else was sprayed about 7 years ago but the car was never driven afterwards and I bought it as a shell.

I am asking $9,000. The car is registered until August 2013.

If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask. My build thread is in the Mk1 section, or if you want to come and take a look, I can fill you in on all the details (and show all receipts). Please PM me for my contact number.

    Thanks

I've been trying to get some fresh photos these last few days, but all the rain has made it a bit tough! Here are some shots from the build to give you all an idea. Hopefully get some more sorted this week.
