    2007 K04'd 9N3 Polo GTI

Alrighty then. Up for sale is my beloved Polo.

It was my first new car, and certainly the most money anyone in our family had ever spent on a car. My mum thought I was mad spending that much cash. Twenty-seven grand on a car. Dad saw worse. A euro car.

I bought it because I'd always had hot minis (eight, to be precise) and whilst I loved them, daily driving them, fixing them one night to get to work the next day, and generally pouring money into forty year old cars was growing old. This needed to be a hobby, not a necessity.

So I bought the Polo. It allowed me to save money for a house (which I now own), it allowed me to drive to work, every day, with all the new car features i sure wasn't used to. Heating. Air Conditioning. Wipers that worked. A car that was comfortable on the highway.

    Anyway, i digress.

    I've owned it since day one. I promised to keep it standard. As you might imagine from a rev-head at heart, here's the mods list;

    Performance:
    APR stage 2 tune.
    Genuine K04 turbocharger.
    4 bar FPR.
3" dump pipe, into 2.5" Jun resonator and muffler.
    PD160 intake pipe.
    BMC panel filter.
    Forge TIP.
    Forge SeatSport-style Front mount intercooler.
    Vibra-technics engine mounts.
SuperPro lower engine steady 'dogbone' mount.
ECS clutch with single mass 14lb flywheel.
Timing belt at 90,000kms. All genuine parts.
N75 and SAI deleted and coded out.
Forge quick-shift with solid shifter mounts.
All neat and tidy, as factory looking as possible.

    Braking:
    (All replaced about 5,000kms ago)
S3/TT 312mm front, 256mm vented rear brake upgrade.
    OEM rotors.
ATE ceramic pads (not the best for driving fast, but great for daily duties and they don't dust the wheels)

    Handling:
    Bilstein B14 coilovers
SuperPro bushings all round. No OEM rubber left in the car.
Front LCA bushings are the offset type.
Ultra front and rear underbody bracing.
    Whiteline rear toe shims.
    Eddy's subframe mounts.

    Body:
    OEM Cupra splitter
    20% window tint all 'round
    Painted mirror covers
    Yellow fog lamp globes
Headlights have UV film applied - they haven't, and won't dull off.
Rhino racks w/Thule wind fairing if you wish
    Rear wiper delete, glass plug
    Black front badge

    Interior:
Standard. I've had Recaros fitted since 12,000kms so the seats are practically new.
Standard steering wheel and Stack guages but they'll be gone and refitted to standard soon.
Floor mats and dashboard are perfect and unmarked.
Plenty of Dynamat and sound-proofing has been used. Doors, floors, tailgate, rear quarter panels.
    Factory stereo, with iPod input.

    Rolling stock:
16x7.5, et35 VW Motorsport by Speedline.
New (this week) 215/45/16 Michelin Pilot Sport 3 tyres.

    **OZs sold 5/7/15**

SA cops can be ****s so I've done it all to be as under the radar as possible.

All this makes a hot hatch, hotter. Not unnbearable. It's got great street manners, and it keeps a friends 385hp Focus RS honest through the twistys.

Problem is, I now live 10 minutes from work. 99% of which is a 50km/h speed limit and it's doing my head in. I haven't driven it fast in 12 months.

I'm also now saving for a wedding and a honeymoon. We're going to Gooodwood and the TT, so I can't complain! Work promotion may see me in a company 4WD soon too, so it'll be sitting spare which is pointless.

Eight years, 132,000 kms, about 15+ oil changes (oil and genuine filter done every 5,000kms) and maybe $12,000 (maybe more, I dare not count) worth of modifications (parts only, I've done all the work myself) later and it's up for grabs.

I want $12k. I appreciate there's cars with less mileage, and there's cars which have dealer service stamps every 12 months (which this does not, i do most of it all myself with VW genuine parts)

Price is negotiable. I've no idea what it's actually worth.

A few pics. If you want more, just ask.

Very nice car! Good luck with the sale.

I have a question, that cupra splitter, where does it bolt up to? Wondering if i'd be able to put one underneath my cup edition bumper. Would you be able to snap a pic for me please?

Edit: OZ wheels sold, standard GTI airbag steering wheel refitted.

Cupra splitter simply screws to the underside of these bumpers.
