Hi All,

It is with great pride that I can announce the first ilikevolkswagens (ILV) event! -
SummerSun2013

SummerSun2013 is a show and shine purely about the cars! So Clean up your ride, come show it off, and enjoy a nice relaxing day in the sun with your VAG mates!
All Volkswagens, Audis, Skodas and Seats are welcome!

SummerSun2013 will be held at Como Park, in South Yarra, March 10th 2013.

Awards for the day will be as follows:
Peoples Choice 1st, 2nd and 3rd. As voted by the public!
Judged awards:
Furthest Travelled
Best Presented (Cleanest, best detailed, including engine bay, interior etc)
Best Stance (Best combination of wheel and tyre fitment, awesome ride height combined with the "X" factor that makes it all work!)
Best Wheels (Unique, different, rare or unusual wheels)
Females Choice/Sex Appeal (Will be chosen by some select females, I have no idea how this will turn out!)
and of course - Car of the Show (For the car that has it all)

Trophies are underconstruction and will a bit unique! You'll see the final product at the show

All cars will be eligible for all trophies - there will be no traditional 'catergories' seperating different years, badges or cooling methods.

Here's a pic of the entrance! Low car friendly (Don't mind the blokes in the hi-vis, they wont be there on the day!)

There are a couple Pre and Post event events going on

On Friday night get down to Garage Cafe in Carlton for a good feed and chin wag.

From 7pm

On Sunday night after the show, Lloyd Davies has been kind enough to host a BBQ at his Man Cave in Eltham. This garage has to be seen to be believed, more VW memorabilia or parts than you could poke a bunch of sticks at!
Address is 7 brougham st Eltham, behind Temby Repco.
Be there from around 5pm, gold coin for a snag, drinks will be on ice!
