Installation is quick and easy, using Dieselgeek's excellent instructions. After installation, however, I had difficulty getting into 1st gear. I emailed Dieselgeek (and got a very prompt response) and it seems as if I confused myself with the adjustment. They talk about removing the slack from the side to side cable by "gently pulling the shift cable out of the cable end". Whenever I have adjusted cables in the past, removing slack has meant pulling the cable out of the cable guide. In this instance, however, the words indicate the opposite - the cable is, as they describe, pulled out of the cable end (their aluminium fitting) and, by implication, pushed back toward the gearbox.
How does it all feel now? Absolutely FANTASTIC. Really sorry you cannot experience it yet, Greg!

I gave mine to the local audi specialist for installation and it cost me 1 hour's labour, including adjustments etc - well worth it.

I love the dieselgeek, soooo much better than OEM

Bugsalanko, Greg Roles (the OP of this thread) is the local dealer for Dieselgeek short shifters. He is also an absolute gentleman.

Thanks for the heads up Sid, and he very kind words, but for now Dieselgeek is on the back burner whilst I deal with Viezu, and find a more effective way to bring Dieselgeek in at a competitive price. For now I'm just sending people direct.
