komoornik:I guess you believe that there is a sucker born every day - it's just a matter of finding him/her (even for as far away as Poland)!!

I never cease to be amazed how easily and how cheaply those buying fake VCDS cables are prepared to toss-away their personal values! I guess that it speaks volumes about how cheaply these individuals view traits such as honesty, integrity, the rights of others, and the ownership of the intellectual property that folk like Uwe Ross has built-up over many years of hard-work in the development of Ross-Tech.

I often wonder whether these individuals are prepared to teach their own children these same practices, or if not, how they justify the personal hypocrisy between what they preach to others and what they do, themselves! And I also wonder how these individuals would react if someone else stole their ideas in the same way as Ross-Tech's Intellectual property has been stolen. I doubt that they would remain silent if the shoe-was-on-the-other-foot (more hypocrisy -I suppose)!!

I guess for those that have chosen to support this fraudulent market through their purchases, the lure of saving a few dollars prevails over the harsh reality that buyers are as responsible as sellers in perpetuating IP theft. Fact is that this despicable market can only exist because folk (like you-alas) are prepared to knowingly buy these cables. And how am I so sure that you have knowingly purchased a fake cable ? Well, because of the elaborate way that your header data has been cut-and-pasted from bits of information from legitimate RT admaps!

It shows a special kind of deception for an individual to go to these lengths to hide a wrong - but I certainly don't admire someone who is willing to participate in such subterfuge!

    Quite an elaboration.

You could just say you know pretty much nothing about those new BCMs

Hi, I've been trying to search this but I'm getting too many results and I'm finding it difficult to filter through all of them.
Would anyone here happen to have the coding handy to have the full tail lights on when the headlights are on, rather than just the sides?
    TIA

daniel: Hi. Are you referring to the section of the tails that I have highlighted in the picture below?

    .

If so, then these two LED clusters in each fitting are wired together on both the sides of the car and it is controlled by the Leuchte-set Leuchte27NSL RC6.

If you want to operate these LEDs as parking lights then try the following:

    (1)-Leuchte27NSL RC6-Lasttyp 27 32 - allgemeine LED bis 12W
    (2)-Leuchte27NSL RC6-Lampendefektbitposition 27 1A
    (3)-Leuchte27NSL RC6-Fehlerort mittleres Byte DTC-DFCC 27 2A
    (4)-Leuchte27NSL RC6-Lichtfunktion A 27 Standlicht allgemein (Schlusslicht; Positionslicht; Begrenzungslicht)
    (5)-Leuchte27NSL RC6-Lichtfunktion B 27 not active
    (6)-Leuchte27NSL RC6-Dimmwert AB 27 10
    (7)-Leuchte27NSL RC6-Lichtansteuerung HD AB 27 only_if_closed

Note: I've shown the illumination level (i.e. Dimmwert value) as 10 because this is the factory setting on an Aussie R. But you can select any value for the illumination that you want.

VCDS tweak: Rear fog light - operate with High-beam "flash"

I've been chatting with a colleague on VWVortex (Kedama) who posted-up a video of a surprising and useful (IMO) function that apparently came factory fitted to his Golf mkV (NAR model): whenever the high-beam lights were flashed, the rear fog-light was also illuminated- presumably to indicate to cars at the rear that "something had changed" on the car in front.

Anyhow, I enclose the instructions below for those that might want to include this function in their mk7. Leuchte-programming provides two separate commands for this purpose as follows:

    • Option 1: Rear fog light illuminates whenever the high-beam lights are flashed AND the rotary light switch on the dash is in the low-beam position
    • Option 2: Rear fog-light illuminates whenever the high-beam lights are flashed AND the rotatory light switch is in any position OTHER THAN the low-beam position

VCDS Tweak: Rear fog-light - operate high-beam "flash"
    1. From the main screen select 09-Cent. Elect
    2. When the BMC screen opens, select Security Access-16
    3. Enter the magic number 31347
    4. When the main BCM screen returns, select Adaptation-10
    5. Confirm that the values in the Table below are as stated in the Existing settings column
    6. Only if the values in step 5 above are confirmed - change the settings in the highlighted adaptation channels shown in the Table below to the New setting column:

Note 1: The table accommodates rear fog-light lamps installed in both LED and incandescent fittings
Note 2: Select the desired option (or both)
Note 3: This tweak does not work when the high-beam lights are "switched-on" (i.e. not flashed)
Note 4: The Leuchte-set in the table is intended for RoW vehicles -(not sure if the same Leuchte-set applies to NAR cars)
Note 5: No assumption is made regarding the compliance of this tweak with the local lighting rules for road vehicles (like the ADRs). Those interested in implementing this tweak should satisfy themselves in this regard.
Note: 7 I have omitted the normal VCDS "Tag Numbers" for the adaptation channels in the table for ease of understanding and to make the table more compatible with OBD11 dongles

Greetings to the whole community, I activated via VCDS viewing the Hidden Menu (menu green) in my Infotainment MIB 2 by finding a flood of English voices, some of you would know tell me the function of these same?
    Thank you.

Maybe I should post the screen shot of my MIB 2 or all the same?

Does anyone know how to disable the warning beep associated with having the ignition on, but car not running AND moving the gear selector to anything but PARK? The warning message says "Move Selector To Park", which I don't mind, but just trying to silence the beep. Thanks.

I only have rear parking sensors without any button. I activated graphical interface of parking to display.

Is it possible to have xx seconds of activation time after shifting to Drive position?
I mean, the second I change gear from Reverse to Drive, the parking sensor stops. I want to have it active about 5-10 seconds.
