All new 7-speed DSG’s with dry clutch have software “compromises”. They shift overly early, and do not make great use of 1st gear. This causes annoying vibrations when the DSG shifts from 1st to 2nd gear, slow reaction on the throttle from low rpm and low speeds, possible damage to transmission & excessive wear on the dual mass flywheel & clutch packs.
Surveyed customers tend not to use “S” mode as it holds the gear far too long for regular city driving, and find “D” mode too lazy.
Our new software solves this problem.
In D Mode we give you much better drivability, and the S mode becomes much more useful. When driving in D, most 1.4TSI’s shift over to 7th gear at 58km/h, we set this to 78km/h. This means the car will not drive at the super low 1150rpm anymore. The engine will stay above 1400rpm. No noticeable change in fuel consumption.
1st gear reactivation, the 7 speed DSG’s do not use 1st gear any longer, only when taking off from a complete standstill. This causes abnormal wear & shuddering in the clutch packs (particularly the 1st to 2nd gear change). When driving below 17km/h the throttle response is poor as the gear is too high & RPM too low. Our software uses first gear for speeds up to 17kmph.

Our standard package is recommended for most "enthusiasts", the other "options" are really for someone who is pushing the limits or who have a custom request.
If you have a race specific application or big turbo application, then tied with in with different engine remapping, we should have a transmission solution for you.
DQ 250 (6 speed wet clutch – Golf GTI, TDI, R, Audi S3, Skoda VRS etc)

- Upgraded clutch clamping

- Shifting time (only applicable for early models)
- Manual Mode upshift control

The DQ250 transmission in standard form suffers from much unwanted downshift. When we increase the torque output & improve the torque curve with chip tuning, then the unwanted downshift can be a bigger annoyance. With light acceleration, the DSG tends to downshift 1 to 3 gears; this causes delays (lag). After carrying out our software upgrade, the throttle response is greatly improved and the car will accelerate using low rpm torque in a higher gear, instead of shifting down and using high rpm horsepower in a lower gear. No lag because of an unwanted shift, but immediate response on the throttle.
The DSG Torque limiter is increased, depending on the transmission model, we increase the torque limiter between 50 and 150NM depending on application. We also have custom applications for big turbo conversions.
Clutch life will be extended with less slip due to the upgraded clutch clamping option.

Most of new 7-speed DSG’s the factory software is far less than optimal. They shift very early and do not use first gear unless moving off from a complete stop. This causes poor reaction on the throttle from low rpm and low speeds, also shudder and possible damage to gearbox and flywheel.
Our new software resolves these issues. The D program will give a much better drivability to the car, and the S program will become much more useful. When driving in D normally the car drives in 7th gear at 80km/h, this will become 6th gear. Therefore the rpm at 80km/h will become +/- 1450rpm instead of the original 1200rpm. No noticeable change in fuel consumption.

Being that your stage one tune for 6r Polo GTI brings torque to just over 300nm is it a requirment to pay the $299 to have the threshold raised to 350nm? also if you couple a tune with intercooler and exhaust would you not push past 350nm?

The engine can produce the torque, no problem, but the job of the transmission applying the torque usefully to the road is what is being tweaked. By changing the clutch actions we can apply the torque earlier (and in the right gear) instead of the DSG trying to upshift & induce clutch slip (and reduce torque when this happens of course!).
