To be honest, i was dissapointed about this when i found out what i had really purchased. Especially seeing it was done by an aussie company that seems to have worked no differently as a dodgy Chinese company doing a rip off.
Performance wise, yes the steering is lighter, and this is what got me worried when i compared this to all the reports on the WALK. The WALK actually makes the steering heavier, supapro makes it lighter, i have also found when compined with bilstein sport shocks and h&r sport springs that the car doesnt seem to like bumps during cornering aswell, i am thinking that this is more due to the polybushings taking the shock and transfering this energy straight to the chasis instead of absorbing this in the bushings as in the case of the old rubber bushings (i have had the suspension set up for 2 years before installing the supapro alloy arms).
Overall, not to happy with it for a number of reasons
1) its a lie, all it is are passat r36 control arms that have been polished.
2) it is not an anti lift kit
3) the polybushings seem to have made the car upset on fast rough corners
Dont recomend them
I would say for people to go the tt kit.
And save your $520

Hi Brendan,
Sorry for the late reply. One part of the joint was missing when it arrived. So to compensate they gave me a free wheel-alignment.
I aksed about installing the Whiteline Anti-Lift Kit and the VW Centre said that I didn't need it with the arms put in. So I didn't. Love the arms though, no breaking traction with them installed. Traction control lights flash up, but car does not actually break traction.
Just a thought
Why would a company get (assumed) OEM new control arms and remove markings and resell them less than what they would of cost?
I think you meant these are "copies" or casts of the above mentioned control arms.
Is there any proof to back up what you are implying apart from pictures that look alike ?
I dont think Supapro would have got these new. Like you said no profit in it buying them new from VW.
Also why would they polish them, the part sits under the car no one ever sees it. Looking at it from a financial point why bother polishing it, its just an extra cost eating into profits. If i was running the business why would i spend money on making it look 'bling', and by polishing it its very easy to rub out the part numbers, again i have no proof of it but.....comeon its kinda dodgy isnt it.
Though I am a half empty kinda guy.![]()

I have personally been involved in the development of these arms from day 1, so might be able to add a bit of insight?
The arms are imported, they are an OE casting & they come in the "bright" coated finish, they are not polished at all.
The bushes are cast / poured into the arms in Moorooka, Brisbane.
The design of the rear bushes is similar to other "made in Asia" Gold & Yellow "Anti Lift Kits", they add approximately 1.5 degrees of static castor.
Unlike the "Anti Lift Kits" listed above, we don't have bushing failure due to the high lateral forces splitting the rear bush. There were multiple design changes to overcome this, and all tested on our APR Australia cars on the track & street. An example of the testing is some versions of "Anti Lift Kits" wouldn't last 20 laps of QLD Raceway with braking forces of the National Circuit. They have also failed on VAG cars competing in Targa Tasmania.
There are now also adjustable ball joints that work specifically with these arms that allow us to achieve an extra 1.5 degrees of negative camber.
These ball joints are included in the Harding Performance version of the arms (RR $750).
Summary:
They are an OEM VW / Audi arm, they are not "polished"
They do have "Anti Lift" bushes in the rear
They do have harder bushes in them so you may experience different noise & vibration to stock arms
They have harder bushes in them, so you do get better feedback & response.
Like all suspension changes, a good wheel alignment is critical, you can throw all the suspension parts you like at a car, and be let down badly by the wheel alignment.
Cant agree more Guy, thats the part that will let it all down.

interesting thread lads.
I just got WALKS and now have heard about these control arms.
Can you use the WALK with this kit, as in cant i just purchase the control arms without getting the ALK from super pro?
also do the ball joints really make that much of a difference? as the cost difference is an added $450. pondering weather to return the WALKs and to get these control arms, and at that which to get... the control arms and the ALK or the control arms, ALK n the ball joiints?
kaz
Go with either WALK or SuperPro
No need to mix & match parts into the SuperPro kit as it has more caster and adjustable camber
The SuperPro arms eliminated my axle tramp and added straight line stability
I had the camber maxed out to 1.45 deg, hard cornering turn in is improved, car feels very sure footed

whats you opinion on the ball joints though? ? also do u think the steering is too light now?? or more feel?
