Which Way Should i Install my Cupra R Lip

Hey Guys Trying to toss up, which FAQ Guide on how to install Cupra Splitter, i shoudl use to install my own

    this was found on http://www.billswebspace.com/Install...oilerVWR32.htm

or the way Trezza 360 did it?

    http://www.vwwatercooled.org.au/newf...7&postcount=58

The first option seems to stick out way meaner

but the second option seems a more logical way of mounting.. and more secure.. it doesnt stick out as far which doesnt look as aggressive but still cool.

    Cupra Lip Now Installed

So After getting sick of staring at this grotesque anneorexic looking peice of plastic sitting in my room.. i decided to watch it magically attach itself to my car while i was waiting for the hours to pass so i could get tired enough to enjoy a good nights sleep.

Now Looking thru the tips tricks and advice of other people who have done this mod over the world.. they seem to be forcing coarse thread screws thru the splitters and forcing them to screw in to the plastic..

i decided against that and did my own install design..

    involving

    6 x M6 Riv Nuts
    6 x M6 Cap Screws 30mm

this way i drilled a hole in 6 places in my bumper and gave myself the ability to easily install and remove the lip at any time with great ease using a allen key or what ever.

Here tis.. just to get a Rough Idea.. but this was was way easy.. and only took about a 60 minutes by myself

    Some Pics

    Attach yourself Now!!

Guess Not... Away we go slaving away

Displaying the Drill Holes and the Riv Nuts

    Looking good Hitman.
Did you bend the corners out at all? Also did the NZ R's have the one piece undertray with the moulded lip too and did you have to cut it off.
Also note that I pre-drilled holes in my lip too but in the locations of the existing holes for the undertray.
Just remember to watch those steep driveways.
    Cheers

yeah we have the one peice undertray with those useless excuses for standard splitters.

yeah i figured you pre drilled.. the splitters plastic is damn tough for how thin it is..

i had to pull the corners in and secure with a bolt either side closest to the wheels arches.

but no heating or anything was required..

just got the centre lined up

    pre drilled

bored holes for nut rivet.. inserted it and compressed and set it

and then bolted the two first bolts

pulled the splitter in a little bit so it wasnt sticking out awkwardly and put the next hole pre drilled in again while holding it inwards as the exact position i wanted it at and then removed the whole thing did the riv nuts again..

    and again..

it was simple and has made it easily removable at any time i may need to..
