Australian Delivered R32 Information
In 2004 the edition 200 (Rumour has it that only 199 R32's arrived into Australia, one involved in a accident at the dock) Australian Delivered R32s came in a just three door body which was finished in three colors. (Deep Blue Pearl, Reflex Silver or Black Magic Pearl) All the vehicles were built in Bratislava, Slovakia. The original Australian sales brochure claims the 177kw 3.2L V6 capable of a limited top speed of 247 km/h and 0-100 km/h in 6.6 seconds. The car was marketed as the 240hp Golf, the most powerful at that time. With the advantage of VW's proven 4-motion all wheel drive system the car was compared with the Subaru WRX Sti and Mitsubishi Lancer Evo. The Australian R32s came standard with US Specification Monroe shocks. These are higher than the European cars which are setup on Bilstein shocks and H&R springs. They were fitted with the european bumpers with headlight washers and Xenons as standard. The cars also came with heated seats and a middle headrest on the rear passenger seat. Sunroofs were not an option. Detailed specifications and dimensions of the MkIV R32 are available here. Below is the promotional video for the R32.

The Jazz Blue one refers to the original 'concept' car that was shown at a car show and is the reason the brembo brake calipers are painted Jazz Blue, and its thought the Morano Red and the flat Black ones are VW owned.
