Ah, the volume knob. Yes I use to think the knob was wierd & changing volume. But try playing with the knob [volume] when the car is sitting still & you'll find tiny notches, if you leave it in between notches at the desired level, you should find the volume will stay steady.
Hooroo.
Actually, the stereo has a feature which progressively increases volume with speed. You can set various levels (rates of increase) using the tuning knob![]()

This Timbo, he's on the ball. I did also have problems with vol. knob half way between notches.------- But like Timbo says try the GALA setting [booklet No. 3.4_ page6] in the manual. Tricky stuff, first hold in the tuning knob, you will get GALA with numbers 1 to 9 by turning the knob left or right, which will give you varying volume ratios per speed.
Modern gadets with my vintage brain. Just too much.

Can be done, i'll try and dig up some photos of a couple we did at my previous job.
yeah I keep finding that with increased speed comes increased happiness and volume, particularly with the rock and roll genre![]()

Vee in it is a double din blauplankt head unit with phillips 6" front splits. I got mine done by some guys in Brisbane "Northfield at Mcgregor" did a really good job except for the part i mentioned in my other post. I would say if your doing one do the head unit first single din is fine and they used a pocket from a Mazda 3 for the other space. Also if you do consider speakers factor in some Sound deadining as the door trims are metal (bit tinny without the stuff) and forget mounting an amp under your front seats cause there is a metal bump in the middle which meant my amp is mounted in the boot.Originally Posted by Veee1.8t
