"Coming Home" function - how to use?

    hello,

Just wondering from the mk6 members if anyone's got issues with the 'coming home' feature?

My mother's '10 white night Eos runs all the mk6 electronics, but 'coming home' never works. Say your headlights are on, you turn key off, the low beam would turn off and the parkers remain on. Pull the key out, the parkers would go out as well.

The feature is enabled in the MFD but it just doesn't work

    any ideas??

RTFM - flick the highbeam on before getting out of the car.

I was going to say exactly that.

there was a thread on vortex about it, almost all the people didn't bother to RTFM and ended up complaining to vw that their coming home didn't work.

must have missed that bit in the manual, thought I had read it, was wondering why the feature wasn't working.

will have to read the manual about setting the central locking, see if that solves that issue ?

haha it took me a while to figure that one out too. The manual is just so bloody big! i dont have time to read it! Besides it is more fun discovering these things after you have had the car for a few months. It is like getting a new toy!

One gripe I have about the manual, particularly the MFD sections, is that some items do not appear in there fully, there's just an asterisk saying something about your options may vary.

There is one entry under convenience and lights that is comf. Indic. (going from memory - I don't have the f'ing manual).
What does that option do ??

It means, when you just tap the indicator to change lanes, it flashes about 3 time automatically. saves have to keep the stalk pressed. atlthough sometimes, the 3 flashes isnt enough, but I still find it handy.

If you have VagCom you can change it between 3, 4 or 5 flashes. I find 4 does the trick for me.
